Dr. Javier Ortiz completed his endodontic residency at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine where he also completed his Masters in Oral Biology. Additionally, he is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine and also completed a one-year residency at Tufts University where he treated medically compromised patients in a hospital setting as well as in the OR.
He is a member of numerous dental organizations including the American Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association and the Hispanic Dental Association of Texas. He is also an active participant in the Boston University Endodontic Alumni Association.
Dr. Ortiz published an article titled Activation of the Acquired Immune Response Reduces Coupled Bone Formation in Response to a Periodontal Pathogen based on his research and thesis during his Master’s degree.

When Dr. Ortiz is not practicing endodontics, he is spending time with his family and friends, traveling or exercising. He currently plays golf, runs, and regularly partakes in Crossfit.
